Blonde Sartorial 2.0

An introduction to Blonde Sartorial

So here it is, my first time writing for the love of it in longer than I can remember and the first post on the new Blonde Sartorial. I’ve been blogging sporadically for the past few years but my life has undergone a few major changes recently. I’ve decided to mark such changes with a clean slate for my writing. This is it. Blonde Sartorial 2.0. And, for the first post, an introduction to who I am and what I want this blog to become.

I’m Bec, a 24-year-old student from West Lancashire, UK, although I’ve spent the majority of my time in Manchester since I was 19 years old. I’m returning to the University of Manchester in two months to complete my final year of my bachelors degree in English Language. Then I’ll be heading out into the big wide world and hopefully into the fashion industry.

My Style

As for fashion, I’ve always been enamoured by it. As a child, I always insisted on dressing my best for none-uniform days at school. Blue jeans and a cotton t-shirt simply wouldn’t cut it. When I was at secondary school, I saved the money that was supposed to used for my school lunches to buy my first designer bag (the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, in case you were curious). Nowadays, I religiously read Elle and view every single collection each fashion month on Vogue Runway. And, while I don’t follow every trend I come across, I’ll happily spend every last penny I have on the ones I love.

When it comes to my personal style, it honestly depends on the day. I dress in a mix of designer brands alongside a health dose of British high-street favourites like Urban Outfitters and Topshop. I love styling runway inspired avant-garde looks but am equally happy in Brandy Melville basics. And, I dress each day to suit my mood, in clothing that brings me joy and that’s exactly what I want Blonde Sartorial to reflect.

My Blog

And more about my blog. I describe it as “a millennial fashion and lifestyle blog” because that’s who I am. A clothesminded individual who just so happens to be part of the ‘snowflake generation’. I want to be able to talk about the things that matter to women like me. Millennial women have been dealt a particularly shit hand in life and I fully intend on sharing what I think about it, alongside my love for faux fur coats, plaid and chunky shoes.

I write because it allows me to work through and express my thoughts and opinions. I write about fashion because it brings me immense happiness. Blonde Sartorial will be intensely personal because I’m primarily writing for myself. That being said, I’d like to think readers will gain inspiration from my little space on the internet. So, as I start uploading content about fashion, travel and life as I experience it, I’d love it if you’d stick around, read what I have to say and enjoy!

Hi Bec, good luck in your endeavors and I hope you achieve your goals. I also think blogging is a great platform for one to express themselves in writing and personal style.

Very much looking forward to your thoughts about fashions and life in general over there in the U.K. Best of luck from Chicago, USA.
