An Autumn Moodboard

Well, damn. The official start of autumn – or fall, depending on preference – is less than two weeks away. And, in the week when Gucci announced they are a carbon-neutral organisation (just had to get that in because I think it’s fantastic), I’ve started thinking about the upcoming season. Here I present my ideas and inspiration in my autumn moodboard. So, grab yourself a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy!

Fashion

It’ll soon be time to put away my vintage Levi’s and replace them with a selection of cosier pieces. This might sound a little weird but I can’t wait for the temperature to drop so I can whip out my colossal collection of winter coats. I have a new jewel-tone Burberry piece that I’m particularly excited to showcase. Other AW19 trends I’m loving include plaid, head-to-toe leather, statement headbands, and lug sole boots.

Lifestyle

For the past 21 years, September and the start of autumn have meant one thing: back-to-school. I recently wrote about my plans to use the new season as a time of rejuvenation and self-improvement in “The September Issue”. I return fully to student life in a little over a week and am planning to stay organised with a beautiful workspace, CGD London ‘Getting Stuff Done’ planner and an extortionate amount of Starbucks.

Travel

Maybe it’s the fact that I haven’t been travelling this summer but I’m experiencing serious wanderlust right now. Top of my list? Paris. I’ve visited the city during autumn before and just adored sitting at street cafés with un chocolat chaud et un croissant. It’s looking unlikely that I’ll be able to fit a weekend away in my schedule anytime in the near future so I’ll probably have to settle for watching the likes of Amélie and Midnight in Paris in my new flat instead. But hey, a girl can dream!
